Tom Lewis secured his playing Rights with Success in the Korn Ferry Tour Championship on the PGA Tour for Second season.
The event was the final of three championships in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals, where PGA Tour cards have been available to the top 25 players that didn’t have their playing rights confirmed.
Lewis missed the first two occasions but made the trip to Indiana for his appearance to the excursion, in which he was given a five-shot victory over challenger Fabian Gomez by a final-round 65.
“I’m chuffed,” Lewis explained. “A win is a triumph. Hopefully, I will go on and create more opportunities for myself to the aisle and out here now.”
Lewis was eligible to play after a tied-11th finish at The Open left him 196th’s equivalent with those involving 200th and 126th allowed to feature from the Korn Ferry Tour Finals.
The Englishman posted back-to-back 66s on Sunday and Saturday to shoot a two-shot direct into the final round, where he holed a birdie at the next and left a six-footer to save par.
A 10-foot gain at the par-three fifth was cancelled out for Lewis, only with a bogey at the second to move inches away by a hole-out eagle at the eighth to prepare the first of 3 successive birdies.
Lewis extended his lead with birdies over his next two holes and finished a series of pars , before completing his victory with a tap-in level at the past.
Victory saw Lewis finish second in the 25 standings and lifts him with Englishman Ben Taylor and Norway’s Viktor Hovland among the notable players to receive their advertising to the PGA Tour.
