After suffering a broken wrist in a fall at Worcester on 24, jockey Tom Scudamore is place for a spell on the sidelines.
Scudamore was riding the David Pipe-trained Malangen in the opening novices’ handicap chase after his bracket suffered a heavy fall at the third fence – .
Scudamore gingerly walked away in the episode, however, his injury was confirmed.
Pipe stated:”Unfortunately he has broken his wrist and he has also got some spine pain, so they have kept him in hospital for additional checks.
“He’s going to be out for some time, of course”
Scudamore’s injury chemicals a couple of days for the Pond House group, together with Timeforben and Noel’s Boy equally suffering fatal accidents at Newton Abbot on Monday.
“They say these things come in threes, so fingers crossed it’s behind us now,” Pipe added.
Another jockey in the wars Tuesday had been Callum Bewley, that needed to be forced to Borders General Hospital for further assessment following decreasing in Kelso from Jackie Stephen’s Welcome Ben.
Welcome Ben was injured after bringing down Wonderful Ben and exiting at the fence
Bewley’s agent, Richard Hale, stated:”I talked to his father last night and it seems as though he has tweaked a couple of ribs, but there no harm to some vertebrae or anything similar to this, thankfully.
“He is clearly a little sore, but he should not be away for too long, so I wouldn’t have believed – maybe a couple weeks.”
