Fnatic have secured a spot in the 2019 League of Legends World Championships after beating against Schalke 04 3-0 in the LEC semi-finals at Athens.
It was a show that Schalke lovers will want to forget but the pressure will be around Fnatic because they face G2 Esports in the Fnatic – following the MSI Champions hauled off a reverse-sweep against Fnatic just a week back.
But, Schalke’s ADC Elias’Upset’ Lipp reckons despite G2 being the favorites Fnatic have a opportunity to redeem themselves.
He said:”I believe G2 will likely take it 3-1 but Fnatic have had a really good run of form. If they show the things they were able to demonstrate today against G2, I believe that they are also able to beat them.
“They were really close last week and I believe tomorrow will be really close also. It depends a good deal on momentum likely, even if G2 start strong in the first couple of games they may close it out but if Fnatic are doing nicely they also possess the capacity to 3-0 G2.”
The season isn’t over for Schalke, despite dropping tonight. They have one more chance to make it to Worlds if they can emerge victorious at the Gauntlet – where they might have to conquer on either Origen or even Splyce.
Upset said:”Who knows exactly what happened in the three weeks where Origen and Splyce were practicing, maybe they found something which works well for them so it’s tough to tell how strong they’re right now.
“If you look in Spylce’s playoff game against Rogue where they lost 3-0 and also the truth that Origen did not even make movie, you’d think we’d be the favourites going into the Gauntlet
“Today, it’s a bit difficult to feel positive or happy about matters because we only dropped in a sad fashion but I believe once I have a night time and just think about it logically , we definitely feel much more confident going into the Gauntlet.
“Getting to Worlds is the only thing which matters today, it is the most significant thing to us and we will give it our all to make it.”
